Paint Party Friday Aug 3

Well this week has been a whirlwind and I didn't have much time in the studio at all!

Next week I will be hard at work on my next Chigirie (Torn Paper) pet portrait, Shadow.

I purchased one of those new Gelli printing plates, have you heard about them?  Monoprinting made quick and easy!

Well I only had about 5 minutes to try it out, so I'm sharing my first, very simple mono print with you.  "Tracks of my Tears"

I find something very emotional in the simplicity of few lines and little color.  This was such a simple and fun process I can't wait to spend some serious time though to work with multiple colors and more complex pictures.

I also spent a little bit of time working on this mixed media piece that is no where near being finished call "Choose Joy"

Lay out phase

and I got new business cards ...I LOVE Them, it's like carrying around a mini gallery of my art!

Most importantly, you all probably want to know who won the Horse print from my prize giveaway last Friday.

The 100th Post Prize Winner is by random generator was:

****NETTY****

Congratulations Netty, you may have your choice of which print you would like.

Happy Paint Party Friday Dear friends, thanks Kristen and Eva!  I can't wait to see what you all are up to this week!

Hugs!

Love the monoprint! I've wanted a gelli plate, and one of these days hope to get one. Your choose joy canvas looks intriguing, I can't wait to see how it develops.
Have a wonderful week, Robin!
