100th Post Prize GiveAway and Paint Party Friday

Today is my 100th Post!

I'm so excited that I'm giving away a prize to one of my commenter/followers today!

It's also my favorite posting day of the week Paint Party Friday!  YAY!  I love having a day each week to share what I'm creating and to blog hop around and see what others are creating too!

This week I had a bit of down time from my Chigirie (Torn Paper) Commissions because I'm waiting for a new delivery of paper and birch panels.  Since I have an innate need to keep creating I've been painting horses.  I've been spending a fair amount of time lately on a horse ranch as my DS has taken up horsemanship.  It's hard not to be inspired by these magnificent beasts!

I started with a black and white Indian Ink Sketch done with a stipling brush:

Windy 18 X 24

Raider in progress
My next horse was created with Indian Ink, Ranger Acohol Inks and the same stipling brush (because I find I don't overwork a piece if I use one.)
Raider 18 X 24
and then today I created this one with Indian Ink and Acrylics and of course my trusty stipling brush

Storm
Storm 18 X 24

Thanks for visiting for  Paint Party Friday hosted by the most wonderful Kristen and Eva!  Can't wait to see what you're up to!

Oh yeah the prize 100th post prize!  As a special thank you to all of my followers and friends that visit from Paint Party Friday I am giving away an 11 X 17 Print of one of these horses, your choice.  Just mention you want to be included for the prize (I don't want to assume you want me art...LOL)

I will give you two entries into the random drawing if you are a Facebook Fan too!!    I will draw a random winner on Thursday at 5pm (PST) and announce the winner in my Paint Party Friday post next week.  ps. I'm a little slow about getting prizes out but they will get there :)

Thanks for coming by!

You've really captured such passion with these paintings of horses! My daughter rode until she was in high school, we actually owned a horse for a while too- it's a really wonderful thing for kids to do!

Interesting idea, using a stippling brush. I probably need to branch out - I've noticed lately I treat everything like watercolors. I don't work *in* watercolors all that often, though.

If you don't mind my asking, how do you get your prints printed? I'm kinda interested in making prints of a few of my pieces, but I'm not at all sure how to go about it.

Your horses are beautiful. Just recently I have developed a fascination with horses which is a little unusual given my age. They really are beautiful creatures and your work certainly does them justice. I would love to be given a chance to win a painting.
