I have to admit I love Paint Party Friday's Hosted by the most wonderful Kristin and Eva. I love hopping around to see what everyone is creating and it makes me really happy to share the progress on the art I have been making.
This week was all about finishing my torn paper portrait commission of Henrie. He 's complete and heading toward Utah where his owner will receive him as a surprise Bday present from her Sweetie.
I have to tell you his whiskers were a challenge I tried all types of materials before I came across some yarn that had shreds coming off of it and the shreds became Henrie's whiskers!

Wow he is so cute! What a fantastic piece and so interesting to see it take shape, love how you solved the problem with the whiskers too!! I look forward to seeing the next one!! :0) We have a rescue dog that we got last year, it's nice to know that we've helped at least one animal. She's still a very timid dog, we don't know what's happened to her in the past but she's definitely living a good life now! :0)
Wow, really amazing work! This must have taken ages, I'm impressed by your patience~
Let's hope next year will bring lots of inspiring moments!

My first thoughts were "he looks so fluffy", then I had to smile as I remembered the line from Despicable me.... (a film you have to see if you've missed it so far!)
