What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday July 31, 2013

Hello it's What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday  (or easel or in your studio space)

I've had a lot going on this week so today I'll show you my workdesk and my Easel and my person too!

On my workdesk is my current hand torn paper commission.  This is Willow and I am creating her brindle coat with Paper Wasp Nest pieces.  The industrious Paper Wasp makes  a nest that literally is paper.  It often has this delicious, stripey look that lends itself well for me to create a Brindle colored pup.

and here is Willow's brother Elliot that I also created from hand torn paper

and on my Easel is figure painting I just finished.

Happy WOYWW!

That is very clever, where do you get wasp paper from? Do you buy it?

Oh yes, that wasp paper is perfect for the brindle colouring, though I wouldn't want to be the one collecting the stuff from the angry wasps!Yur art is fabulous as always. Annette #1 for the first time in 4 years!

Your work is incredible - never seen anything like it. You don't go collect the paper yourself, do you???!!!

And I thought pyrography was quite a rare art form! Would never have thought of making such incredible pictures from torn paper, but you make it work so well. Thanks for stopping by my site, kind regards, john-w #23.
