Paint Party Friday 3/8/13

Thanks for stopping by to visit for Paint Party Friday!

This week I'm in the process of completing a torn paper pet portrait commission of Maestro.I've finished Maestro and am just choosing a background for him, next he'll be mounted on a birch panel then it's off to the Gallery in Pennsylvania that ordered him.

Choosing a background for Maestro

While I wait for layers to dry on my torn paper commissions, I create Digitally painted commissions
This year is off to an amazing pace with 15 commissions to complete I may never see the light of day LOL.  No complaints, I love being an artist for a living.

If you care to know more about how I create my torn paper or digitally painted pet portraits you can see more work and details at these links.

Maestro looks perfect! I am actually amazed, I always find painting animals (particularly ones with scruffy fur like him) hard to capture. This technique is perfect! Fantastic.

You have the most amazing style...there isn't a dog I don't love!! I especially love Caleb in his funky color...but all are truly wonderful....I have an affinity for little white dogs since I've had 4 from birth to death over 40 years!
