Paint Party Friday January 4th, 2013

Happy New Year Dear Friends!

I've been in a wonderful whirlwind of busy, up to my elbows in little pieces of paper but oh what fun I'm having!

I feel so fortunate to have started out 2013 with my custom torn paper pet portrait commissions booked through the end of March and the best surprise of all, today a gallery from Pennsylvania called me out of the blue and asked to represent/sell my portraits and graced me with 5 commissions to get started, what an amazing start to my year!

I'm currently working on a Torn Paper (Chigirie) Pop Art Pet Portrait with 3 fabulous kitties Peanut, Casanova and Duckie.  They will all three go in the same 16 X 20 portrait.   Here is Peanut as a work in progress about 95% percent complete.

I'm about 3/4's done with Casanova and will hopefully finish Duckie this weekend.  I hope to have a finished portrait to share with you next week.

This is the last portrait I finished just before Christmas of Sophie and Ollie

Thanks for stopping by for Paint Party, I can't wait to see what your up to.

Beautiful work with the torn paper portraits, Robin. Although I love the normal colors, I'll have to say that Peanut is really gorgeous in rainbow hues.

Yay yay and double yay yay. What a great 2013 it's going to be for you! Keep limber and do lotsa stretching as those little bits of paper will tax your joints, tendons and muscles. Happy PPF from across the pond.
