WOYWW December 4th, 2012

I haven't been getting by to post for WOYWW lately and it's such an enjoyable blog hop.  So today I made sure to keep my camera handy and I've cleared time in my schedule to go hopping ...YAY!

It's a wonderful holiday season and my stocking is full of new art commissions so I am busy, busy and you won't hear me complaining.  I love creating my hand torn paper pet portraits (Chigirie)

On my desk to be created is Sophie.  Yep, that's my desk, a photo and a stack of awesome papers.  Later today it will be hundreds of tiny, floaty pieces of paper as I begin to put her together.

Here is her brother Ollie that I have about 95% completed, they are going in a portrait together.

Ollie created from torn paper on left his photo on right.

Ollie created from hand torn paper.
Thanks for stopping by to see what's on my Work Desk.  I can't wait to see yours!  Happy WOYWW! Thanks Julia for such a great hop.

Very clever. Would never have thought the picture was made from torn paper . You must have tremendous patience.

Wow! I have never seen this art style before and it is fabulous; you really capture the texture of your subjects this way -- I want to pet your Ollie piece and see if it is as fluffy as it looks.
