Paint Party Friday Oct 19 2012

I've not had a lot of writing and posting time lately, this Fall has gone by in a whirl between traveling to New York and a busy commission schedule as well as setting up my new studio.

I love, love Paint Party Fridays and am trying to at least squeek out a blog post to say hi to you all before I go hopping to see what creative excitement you've been up to this week.

It's been a productive week, I've just finished creating Shadow, A Torn Paper Pet Portrait Commission that sent off to Wisconsin.

Shadow Commission - Chigirie Pet Portrait  -Created from Hand Torn Paper

Shadow next to his photo - Chigirie Pet Portrait  -Created from Hand Torn Paper

Shadow - a close up scan while in progress (before finished)

Today I'm working on my new studio space (getting very close to being ready for habitation) and painting a folky piece called "The Dog's Gone Blues."  I'm also choosing my final photo and set up choices for my next  commission of the two most fabulous doggies, Sophie and Ollie...here they are--they are going to be so much fun to create from torn paper, a wonderful challenge with their beautiful coats !

Have a fabulous Paint Party Friday!  I can't wait to see what you're creating! Thanks Kristen and Eva for this wonderful weekly event!

Robin, thanks for coming by. After reading your post here, I am honored that you took the time to visit. Your dog with the ball in his mouth is one of the most precious paintings I've seen. Maybe it's because I'm a dog person and somehow feel a relationship with every dog I meet. Fantastic art. Enjoy your new studio.
